The Natural Step Canada is excited to announce the newest addition to our core staff. Barb Steele began her employment with us in January, and will hold the role of Managing Director. In this role, she will be working with the team to support our mission of accelerating change towards a sustainable society. Barb has already begun working inside the organization to help align operations with strategy, and will also be spending her time strategizing with our external audiences in order to advance opportunities for tackling some system-level sustainability challenges.

Barb has previously held senior leadership roles at The Network for Business Sustainability (NBS) and Canadian Business for Social Responsibility (CBSR). Prior to that she worked for a consumer packaged goods firm in senior marketing and organization development roles. She holds an Honours Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business, and a Masters of Science in Organizational Development and Change from Pepperdine University where her thesis focused on the correlation between employee engagement and corporate social responsibility among Canadian firms.
