Welcoming Dr. Robèrt to Canada

On behalf of The Natural Step Canada team, I am thrilled to welcome Dr. Karl-Henrik Robèrt, the Founder of The Natural Step and Co-Founder of Real Change, back to Canada this fall. From October 18-21, he will be speaking to diverse audiences at a number of public and private engagements in and around the Toronto area. This is a rare and exclusive opportunity for Canadians to hear Dr. Robèrt—who lives in Sweden—speak in person.

In our latest newsletter, you can read all about the great events we have planned and how you can attend.

I first met Kalle—as he likes to be called—in 1996, where he impressed me with his clear, non-negotiable explanation of how the earth worked as a system and how humans were causing that system to become unsustainable.

His strategic approach and guidelines for what organizations needed to do to align themselves with natural systems was a big “aha” moment for me and I’ve been working for The Natural Step ever since to help accelerate change toward a sustainable world.

A leading global thinker on sustainability, Kalle is an inspiring speaker and storyteller, and an enlightened teacher and facilitator who shares and promotes a simple strategic framework to enable profound change and collaboration to occur.

He founded The Natural Step in 1989 to develop a universally-accepted science-based definition of sustainability—what became known at The Natural Step Framework—to help businesses, communities, and other organizations understand and lead change toward sustainability.

His ideas and determination sparked a growing global sustainability movement that has projects in 18 countries and boasts an impressive list of partners, including NIKE, IKEA, InterfaceFLOR, The Co-operators, and over 100 municipalities around the world.

Please come hear Dr. Robèrt’s influential thoughts on sustainability at one of the following public events. Perhaps you, too, will be as inspired as I was.
